Where to begin? Where to begin indeed. First I went to Olive Garden for lunch, which is apparently what us conservatives do after we’re done doing… conservative stuff. But really, let’s talk about this tech censorship that is going on. You weren’t aware?
Now there are a ton of comments beneath it, mostly people shouting to the ether about the downfall of Trump and his followers.. blah blah… I’m very proud of you for having an opinion. Now, let’s get to the real subject:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I already know what you’re thinking. Twitter and Facebook and Parler for that much are not the Congress. True… true… but big tech sets the precedent these days does it not? Ask some of the thousands about their online accounts (mine included) and you’ll find a big portion of us are not the hundred-thousand followers club. Most of us are just there to follow some of the big wigs, including our favorite celebrities and government officials that we have elected or agree with. The vast majority of those censored are all conservatives and they are all every-day Johns and Janes who have every reason to want to be a part of what’s going on in the world. We are going to follow what we believe in and read whoever we want to read.
Opinions are a dime a dozen, but here’s mine: if they are willing to shut down the accounts of thousands of people who have one thing in common (conservative, Trump Supporters), they are willing to do anything. That should frighten everyone and disturb Americans very deeply. For all the media sounds off about unfair treatment and white privilege, voices have never been silenced. When Black Lives Matter marched on cities throughout the warmer months, burning and destroying small businesses, we did not silence their voice. Quite the opposite. Our Democratic leaders instead praised their efforts as “mostly peaceful”. But we’re not really here to discuss the merits of BLM or the fact that they were USED to push a narrative…
George R.R. Martin, the author of “the Song of Ice and Fire” said it well, “When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world that you fear what he might say.” Now ask yourself the important question. There are now 12 days until Biden and Harris are sworn in. What do they have left to be afraid of that they would censor the crap out of the conservative voice and work so hard to separate them from any source of media other than the mainstream media? For that much, why did Fox News go turncoat the night of the election and start pushing the story that Biden won long before counts were done? If you haven’t seen the evidence, I’m not here to show it to you. There are plenty of resources out there that will show you piles upon piles of evidence if they have not been silenced and removed.
At a time the world expects one voice, one narrative, be very cognizant that they mean ONLY one. And that is the beginning of the end of freedom. For when the First Amendment can be squelched by the private sector to serve the government, it really is a direct violation of your rights.
